A Pragmatic Explanation of C-E Translation of Red Tourism Materials

红色旅游资料有助于传播红色文化。为探讨其英译策略,引入了关联理论和顺应理论,对这两种理论作了简要介绍。以滁州藕塘革命烈士陵园为例,总结了红色旅游资料英译的失误:语言性翻译失误、文化性翻译失误和语用性翻译失误。阐述了关联和顺应理论对红色旅游文本英译的解释力,据此提出了可行的英译对策:关联语境效果、顺应语言习惯,并举例分析了对策的具体运用。

Red tourism materials help to spread the red culture. To probe into the C-E translation of red tourism materials, the paper firstly introduces the theory of relevance and adaptation through a brief description of them. Then, using Outang revolutionary martyr cemetery as an example, it summa- rizes three main mistakes of C-E translation of red tourism materials： linguistic mistakes, cultural mistakes and pragmatic mistakes by exemplification. Finally ,the author analyzes the guidance of relevance and adaptation theory to C-E translation of red tourism materials, and puts forward feasible countermeasures： associating contextual effect and conforming to linguistic habits,putting the countermeasures into use by concrete examples.
