The paper explored the principles, common faults and maintenance experiences of the intracorporeal ultrasonic and pneumatic combined lithotripter-Litho Clast（EMS-IV）. We analyzed and cleared faults in some cases such as the excess pressure, power instability, connect circuits by understanding the principles and structure, combined with maintenance experiences of the equipment. In the daily use of lithotripter-Litho Clast, a special staff should be assigned to take responsibility for the system, the engineer should be familiar with the principles of the instrument, and the routine maintenance should be strengthened to ensure that the instruments work in the best condition to maximize the strengths of lithotripter-Litho Clast.
