Based on the introduction to the storey-adding design for an existing masonry structure, this paper proposes a combined way of structural steel and concrete to establish sandwich structures, which can reinforce the components and add storeys, with noticeable advantages, and can be widely applied to relevant engineering. The practice proves this method to be simple and practical and have great potential development.
