Offshore RMB market developments in February 2017

2017年1月末香港、台湾地区和韩国人民币存款总额环比下降2．86％。2月份，香港人民币隔夜拆息Hibor走低，月末报收2％；香港人民币即期汇率（CNH）月末收于6．8549，月内下浮0．4％；境内外可交割人民币远期汇价之差缩小；境外人民币债券发行规模41．3亿元；香港和新加坡交易所人民币期货交易量略有下降。

At end-January 2017, the CNH deposits in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea decreased by 2.86% month-on-month. In February, the CNH Hibor went down, and the CNH Hibor O/N closed at 2%; the CNH spot rate closed at 6.8549 at end-February, down 0.4% from the beginning of the month; the spread between the rates of the CNH and CNY deliverable forwards narrowed down; the CNH bond issuances recorded 4.13 billion yuan; the trading volume of CNH futures in the HKEx and SGX declined slightly.
