2016年是老挝换届选举年和"八五"开局之年,政治上,选举产生了老挝人民革命党第十届中央委员会、第八届国会及第八届政府;经济增长6.9%;成功承办了第28届和第29届东盟峰会等系列会议。展望2017年,老挝人民革命党将召开十届四中和五中全会,国会亦将召开八届三次和四次会议,确保经济增长7%,多元务实外交会更趋活跃。

2016 is the year for re-election and starting year of ＂8th five-year＂plan. In terms of politics, Laos has been finished transition of provincial and ministerial leaders of party committee; the economy also has increased by 6.9%; it has successfully held the 28th and 19th ASEAN Summit. In 2017, the People＇s Revolutionary Party of Laos will hold fourth and Fifth Plenary Session of 10th national people＇s congress, congress will also hold the the third and fourth conference in order to ensure the 7% economic increase rete, thus, the multiple pragmatic diplomacy will bemore active.
