摘要
孔子罕言天道。孟子几乎不提天道。荀子主张远离天道。在原始儒家那里,天的内涵有二,即自然之天和本然之天。前者指苍苍之天空。后者指天生之本性。古人以为天等自然事物有生命。天故有神。遥远的天空因此具有神秘性。"绝地天通"后,儒家接受了天人相分的观点,以为天人不同、天道不影响人道。远离天道、不迷信天道的最终目的是崇人道、尽人事。勿信天、远天道及重人道才是原始儒家鲜论天道的原因。
Confucius and Mencius seldom talked about the Way of Heaven. Xunzi advocated the abandonment of the Way of Heaven. The concept of Heaven possessed two connotations in earlier Confucianism. One was the natural heaven and the other was being natural or inherent nature. The Chinese in ancient times held that natural things like the Heaven were living beings. Thus, the remote Heaven was mysterious. After the emergence of the concept of separation between the Heaven and the hu- mans, the earlier Confucians accepted it and believed that the two were quite different. The abandonment of the Way of Heaven by early Confucians aimed to worship the work of human beings rather than the Heaven.
