The book Embodiment of anthropology revealed the organization of human interaction, by analyzing embodiment in a microscopic way. It established the ground for multi-modal ethnography by integrating the ideas of communication theory, culture anthropology, and ecological psychology in cross-cul- tural perspective. These investigations illuminated how the collective memory was embodied beneath the participants' practices. Through introducing the major contents of this book, the author identifies the concepts of "Somatization" and "Embodiment", and probes into the research turning of "Embodiment" from the perspective of anthropology. This book proposed a new theoretical framework that would transcend the dichotomy of perception versus representation.
