摘要
关联理论认为,话语标记语能促进寻求言语交际的最佳关联。以关联理论为视角,通过梳理话语标记语的连贯性与关联性研究,可以发现,话语标记语对构建语境和推导话语的隐含意义具有积极作用。话语标记语可帮助听话人识别认知语境,寻求最佳关联,识别说话人含义,因此对话语标记语进行语用解读有助于提高英语学习者的听力理解水平。
According to the relevance theory,discourse markers play an important role in the promotion of speaker and hearer's effective search of an optimally relevant interpretation. Based on the research of discourse markers within coherence and relevance theory,this paper intends to give a very brief introduction to the active role that discourse markers have in context construction and meaning inference. Specifically,discourse markers can constrain and guide a listener's choice of his or her cognitive environment and help him or her to achieve the maximum cognitive effect with minimum processing efforts. In doing so,the present study holds that a comprehensive and accurate mastery of the pragmatic functions and motivations of discourse markers within the relevance- theoretic framework might efficiently improve students' listening proficiency.
