摘要
中文"矛盾"一词源于韩非"矛盾之说"。"矛盾之说"以寓言故事的形式生动地揭示了"无不陷之矛"与"不可陷之盾"二者"不可同世而立"的思维规律。然而,二者所反映的命题真值关系是矛盾关系还是反对关系,能否揭示矛盾律思想,如果能揭示,与亚里士多德的矛盾律有何差别等问题,曾引起人们长期争论。运用当代非经典逻辑研究的新成果,能进一步廓清"矛盾之说"的逻辑含义。
The Chinese word ＂MAO-DUN （contradiction）＂ originates from Han Fei＇ s ＂Theory of MAO - DUN＂, which employs the form of a fable and vividly reveals the law of thought, that is ＂the spears adver- tised to be absolutely penetrative＂ and ＂the shields advertised to be impenetrable＂ cannot stand in the same world together. However, whether the propositional truth-value relation they reflect is contradictory or contra- ry, whether this relation could reveal the thought of the Law of Contradiction, and if it could, what distinctions there are between this relation and Aristotle＇s ＂Law of Contradiction＂, etc. These problems have provoked spirited argumentations for a long time. On the basis of illuminating the traditional research approaches, the latest study fruits of contemporary non-classical logical theories are utilized to clarify the logical meanings of the ＂Theory of MAO-DUN ＂.
