摘要
基于语料库语言学方法调查专业英语学习者笔语中情态附加语的使用情况。通过对高年级学习者语料库、低年级学习者语料库及本族语者语料库中相应语料的对比,发现与低年级学习者相比,高年级学习者笔语中情态附加语的词汇密度明显增加,趋向于本族语者的词汇密度;但情态附加语的总体使用频率明显降低,且低于本族语者;部分类型的情态附加语存在使用过多或使用不足的现象。在教学实践中,可采用显性教学策略和隐形教学策略相结合的方式来促进学习者对情态附加语的习得。
Based on the methodology of corpus linguistics, the paper investigates the use of modal adjuncts among Chinese English majors. Through the contrast and analysis of the corresponding linguistic data in junior English major corpus, senior English major corpus and the native speaker corpus, the investigation comes to the following conclusions : compared with modal adjuncts in junior English major corpus, the lexical density of modal adjuncts in senior learner corpus is much higher, and gets approximate to that in the native speaker corpus; the frequency of modal adjuncts in senior major corpus is much lower; compared with the modal adjuncts in native speaker corpus, some types of modal adjuncts are overused, while others are used insufficiently. Instructors can combine explicit teaching with implicit teaching to improve the efficiency of acquisition of English modal adjuncts.
