Predicament and Countermeasures for Green Development in China in the Process of Civilization Transformation

人类社会文明的发展经历了从狩猎文明、农业文明、工业文明、生态文明的渐进变迁,目前正处于从工业文明向生态文明的转变过程中。工业文明为人类创造了丰富的物质财富,推动人类社会向前发展,也对人类赖以生存的生态环境造成了破坏和污染,甚至带来了生态危机,加剧了人与自然的矛盾。我国的工业化和城市化是有史以来人口最多、规模最大的工业化、城市化,对资源环境生态的承载能力带来了极大的挑战。绿色发展是我国新型工业化、城市化发展的必然选择,也是通往生态文明的必由之路。

Human social civilization has developed gradually through hunting civilization, agricultural civiliza- tion, industrial civilization and ecological civilization, and now it is in the process of transformation from industrial civilization to ecological civilization. Industrial civilization has created rich material wealth for human being, and promoted human society to develop further, yet it also brings destruction and pollution to the ecological environment which human beings depend on to live, and even causes the ecological crisis and deepens the conflict between man and nature. Industrialization and urbanization in China is of the biggest scale with the largest population in history, and also brings the greatest challenge for the bearing capacity of resources, environment and ecology. Green devel- opment is the inevitable choice for the development of new - type industrialization and urbanization in China, and also the necessary road toward ecological civilization.
