The Driving Factors for the Evolution of Users' Mental Model of Academic Database Based on Distributed Cognition

摘要 本文从分布式认知理论视角对文献数据库用户心智模型演进的驱动因素进行研究。研究采用问卷调查法收集了194份关于研究生与科研人员对其心智模型演进驱动因素认知的调查问卷,并综合利用因子分析法、平均数差异检验法和单因素方差分析法对收集到的数据进行分析。研究发现:第一,文献数据库用户心智模型的驱动因素主要有简单信息检索任务、搜索引擎学习迁移、文献数据库界面引导与提示、自己摸索、复杂信息检索任务、信息检索课程、与同学交流、请教老师、购物网站学习迁移、图书馆信息检索培训和文献数据库信息服务产品。这些因素对于用户心智模型演进的重要程度依次降低。第二,这些驱动因素与分布式认知理论的内容相对应,从实证的角度佐证了分布式认知理论作为文献数据库用户心智模型演进驱动因素的理论基础的可行性。第三,对于个人经历和人口统计学特征不同的用户而言,部分驱动因素存在显著的个体差异。研究结果可为文献数据库的界面优化设计和用户信息素养培训提供指导建议。 This article explores the driving factors for the evolution of users' mental model of academic database based on distributed cognition theory. The collected surveys (n= 194), which were from graduate student and scientific research personnel, are analyzed by factor analysis, t-test and analysis of variance. Study results are as follow: Firstly, the driving factors includes simple information retrieval task, learning transfer of search engine, interface guide and cues, self-learning, complexity information retrieval task, information retrieval course, communicating with students, consulting teachers, learning transfer of shopping website, information retrieval training of library and information service products academic database. The importance of these driving factors falls in turn. Secondly, these driving factors correspond to the content of distributed cognition theory, which testified distributed cognition as theory basis for the driving factors for the evolution of users' mental model of academic database. Thirdly, owing to the different personal experiences and demographics, some driving factors existing significant individual differences. The results can provide guidance for optimization design of academic database interface and information literacy training.
