On Krashen's Input Theory and its Implications to College English Teaching

在讨论Krashen语言输入理论提出的背景及其主要内涵的基础之上,结合公外学生英语课时有限的问题,提出提高课堂输入效率的关键是要在课堂上提供充足的可理解输入、鼓励学生在课下继续扩大阅读面及创造宽松的课堂气氛缓解学生的焦虑感。

This paper first introduces the background in which the input theory was put forward and presents its main viewpoint. Then, the author puts forward three effective ways of improving college English teaching： increasing the quantity and improving the quality of input; creating free and positive climate in class; and reducing the level of anxiety.
