The operation of Chinese archival science community results from interaction of multiple elements while Matthew Effect is the inevitable developing trend of its running mechanism. The existence and operation of Matthew Effect will lead to the differentiation of the structure of Chinese archival science community and the emergence of authoritarian structure and other forms of authority. Matthew Effect has positive and negative effects on the Chinese archival science community, in which the positive role holds a dominant position, while its negative influence scope is limited.
