再谈鲁迅的翻译以及“硬译”

The Second Discussion on Lu Xun's Translation and “Literal Translation”

今天我们重读鲁迅,依然收获良多,不仅是文学创作,也包括外文翻译。从留学初期的翻译尝试,到《域外小说集》开创中国人翻译外国弱小民族文学的先河,再到后期的"硬译"探索,鲁迅一直努力为中国的文学及其语言文字输入一些新鲜异样的内容。鲁迅的翻译有三个方面值得高度重视:浓郁的理想色彩,"拿来主义"的重要实践以及"硬译"的良苦用心。

Today when we again read Lu Xun＇s works ,we can still achieve a lot not only in li ter-ary creation,but also in his translation in foreign languages. From the translation a ttempt at the early time of his studying abroad to the Collection of Alien Stories which initiated Chinese translation ofthe foreign weak nat io ns ,and again to the exploration of his later literal trans lation”, Lu Xun had been trying to introduce some new and unique contents into Chinese li terature and language as well as written characters. There are three aspects worthy our high attention in Lu Xun’s tran s lation ： strong idealist color; the important practice of “plagiarism” ,and great effort of “literal translation”.
