作为“道德想象”的美国社区精神——基于中镇仁人舍的经验

American Spirit of Community as “Moral Imagination”——The Experience of Middletown Habitat for Humanity

采用人类学田野调查方法对美国公益组织中镇仁人舍呈现出来的社区精神进行研究。社区精神的要义是服务社区。中镇仁人舍的经验表明:美国社区精神的分布并不均匀,其彰显主要借助公益组织的作用。另外,公益组织在美国社会经历了一个发展过程,并非从一开始就完善健全。这有助于反思国内在美国社区精神方面的道德想象。

This paper uses the method of anthropological fieldwork studying American spirit of community manifested by Middletown Habitat for Humanity.The spirit of community mainly means serving the community.The experience of Middletown Habitat for Humanity shows： American spirit of community doesn＇t spread so evenly.And its manifestation is mainly contributed by nonprofit organizations, which has its own developing process in the U.S., rather than being perfect and sound from the beginning.It＇s helpful for the reflection on the moral imagination in China about American people＇s spirit of community.
