Because of their unique structure and historical cultural values,ancient residential buildings differ from ordinary civil architectures,which poses higher requirements on fire safety design.This paper analyzes the fire safety design of ancient residential buildings in a city,to find out their fire resistance rating,fire protection spacing,lightning protection design,fire alarm system,automatic fire extinguishing system,firefighting and rescue facilities,and points out the key to the fire safety design of such buildings,so as to meet the required standards of safety,reliability,advanced technology and resource conservation in fire safety design.
