摘要
跨文化外语教学法强调外语学习的"第三空间",即在本族语语言文化和目的语语言文化、学习者本人和其他人(老师、同伴等)/物(课本、影像等)之间生成的"第三空间"。理想的学习结果是学习者能在这一空间通过跨文化的探索和协商,与来自不同语言文化背景的交际者成功自如地进行交流。本文结合中国英语教学的现状,从语言/文化不可分割的教学原则、比较目的语和母语语言文化及跨文化探索过程等方面讨论了在中国英语课堂实现这一跨文化"第三空间"探索的前提条件,旨在为中国学生的跨文化交际能力培养提供参考。
Intercultural foreign language teaching methodology emphasizes a process which involves developing a third place between the learner's native linguaculture and target linguaculture,between self and other.The ideal learning outcome is to be able to communicate in the third place with people from different linguacultures freely and successfully.Based on current situation of English teaching and learning in China,this paper discusses some prerequisites for realizing the third place exploration from three fundamental aspects:the teaching of a linguaculture,the comparison between Chinese linguaculture and English linguaculture,and intercultural exploration,with a view to informing the development of Chinesestudents' intercultural competence.
