Causes of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pieces Loss and Countermeasures

目的:探讨连云港市赣榆区中医院(以下简称"我院")中药房中药饮片的损耗情况及原因,降低中药饮片损耗率。方法:对我院15种常用中药饮片储存期间的质量(缩水)变化情况进行分析,计算缩水率和损耗率。结果:在不同的贮藏条件下中药饮片会有不同的损耗率,生产厂家的贮存条件与医院的贮存条件有所差异;饮片的质量变化与其质地、相对湿度等原因密切相关,这就要求对中药饮片采取合适的存储措施。结论:中药饮片的损耗与多种原因密切相关,临床应制订合理的采购计划,进行科学有效的管理,改善存储条件,规范调剂规程等,以促进临床合理用药。

OBJECTIVE：To investigate the status and causes of traditional Chinese medicine pieces loss, so as to reduce the rate of traditional Chinese medicine pieces loss. METHODS ： Analysis was conducted on changes of quality （shrinkage） of 15 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine pieces in Lianyungang Ganyu District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital （ hereinafter referred to as ＂our hospital＂ ）, shrinkage rate and loss rate were calculated. RESULTS ~ Under different storage conditions, the rate of traditional Chinese medicine pieces loss was different, and the storage conditions of manufacturers were different from the hospitals. The changes of quality of pieces were closely associated with the characteristics and relative humidity, therefore, proper storage measures were needed for traditional Chinese medicine pieces loss. CONCLUSIONS： The traditional Chinese medicine pieces loss is associated with various causes, the clinic should formulate rational purchase plan and effective management, improve storage conditions, regulate the dosage procedures, so as to promote the rational drug use in clinic.
