The analysis on the allometric relationship between population and area of urban systems in Northeast three provinces

研究了东北三省城市人口-城区面积的异速生长关系.结果表明:辽宁省的土地资源得到了高效利用,而吉林省和黑龙江省的土地利用存在着浪费情况,建议在土地规划中引导城市建筑向高空发展,限制城区的无规蔓延.

The allometric relationship can be used to describe the relation between the part and the whole system,also be applied to study the relationship between two variables in the system. It is an indispensable mathematical method to study fractal urban system. In this paper the a11ometric relationship between population and area of urban systems in northeast three provinces is studied. The results show that land resources in Liaoning Province are used efficiently while there is a waste of land use in Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province. So it is recommended in the land planning to guide the urban architecture to develop to the upper air and to limit the random spread of urban area.
