On the Wooden Structural Members in the “Attendant” Tomb Pits around the Mausoleum of Qinshihuang

本文通过考古发掘分析秦始皇陵周围陪葬坑中的木质材料,试图还原秦时期对木材的加工没有使用铁锯的事实。通过观察棚木等木质建筑构件,并结合秦简,认为秦时期并没有实行标准化。通过棚木等木质材料之间的构建组合关系,判定先秦禋祀与铜车马陪葬坑没有任何关系。

Through archaeological clarification and analysis of the wooden structural members in the ＂attendant＂ tomb pits around the Mausoleum of Qinshihuang, the present paper attempts to verify that in the Qin Period, wood working was not carded out by using the iron saw. Based on his examination of the wooden sheds and other structural members, with the relevant data from Qin inscribed slips taken into account, the author believes that there was no standardization for working wooden structural members in the Qin Period. Through analyzing the assemblage of the wooden structural members of the sheds he comes to the conclusion that the ＂attendant＂ tomb pit with bronze horses and chariots was by no means concerned with Pre-Qin sacrifice.
