古代小说研究宋末元初起步 ,处于萌芽状态。直到 2 0世纪小说史学研究才成为一门学科 ,并形成世界性的影响。 2 0世纪小说史研究的发展历程经历了三个阶段 。

While the studies on Chinese ancient fictions started and was still in its embryonic stage at the turning point of the Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty,the science of Chinese Fictional History became a formal discipline in the 20th century and forged its worldwide influence.This paper reviews the developing process of the studies on Chinese fictional history in the 20th century,evaluates their achievements and inadequacies and finally makes some suggestions to the studies in the 21century.
