The CT images of 76 cases of differentkinds of lumbar disc herniation were analys-ed. The main CT features are: 1) the abnor-mal protrusion in the posterior disc margin.2)appearing of the epidural soft tissue mass,3)compression or displacement of the dural sacof root sheath, and 4) asymmetry of epiduralfat. 35 cases were operated upon, and the re-sult of surgery demonstrated the accuracy rateof CT diagnosis for lumbar disc herniation was74.9%. The author points out the way howto analyse the CT images of lumbar disc he-rniation, to avoid misdiagnosis and in-creasingthe rate of diagnosis.
