摘要
基于批判话语分析的框架,主题词分析、搭配分析和索引分析呈现了美国公立大学使命宣言关于办学定位、组织活动、课程教学和资源策略四个话语变迁主题。研究发现,全球化3.0时代的学生中心理念由"教育机会供给"延展至"可迁移能力培养";知识经济社会中的大学社会活动学术质性增强,以"拓展"为代表的组织活动正在逐渐融入传统大学功能之中;"知识发展"与"社会服务"的互动是公民教育的核心目标,"全球视野"开始融入传统服务-学习框架之中;后经济危机时代,由单纯依赖学费增长转向以多元筹资为基础的可持续性财政管理是公立大学资源策略的重要理念转向。语料库与批判话语分析相结合的研究方法是社会科学研究领域的前沿方法,为我们提供了超越传统文本分析的新视野。
Based on a corpus-based analysis of critical discourse and the data of mission statements of American public universities, we compared 465 mission statements in 2014 with a reference corpus of 210 mission statements in 2003 provided by the IPEDS. Keywords analysis, collocation analysis, and concordance analysis suggest that mission statements have changed along four discourse trajectories: school orientation, organizational activities, course teaching, and resource strategy. In addition, we also examine the discursive strategies reflected inthe texts of mission statements which are deployed by the public universities. These findings situate the public universities as a point of entry into understanding the relations among institutional change and a changing milieu.
