摘要
随着大学英语教学改革的推进,大学英语教学的重心已经逐步从通用英语教学(EGP)转到了专门用途英语(ESP)课程教学模式上。以北京师范大学珠海分校非英语专业的学生为研究对象,运用准实验研究方法,对ESP课程模式教学的效果进行量化分析。实验研究显示:与传统的大学英语通用英语教学(EGP)相比,ESP课程教学模式更有助于提高学生英语语言知识和专业学科知识。
Along with the advancement of teaching reform in college English, the focus of college English teaching has gradually been on English for special purpose (ESP) from English for general teaching (EGP). This paper takes quantitative analysis of the effects of ESP curriculum teaching by adopting quasi-experimental research method among with a group of non-English major students in Beijing normal university in Zhuhai as the research objects. The results of the experimental research shows that ESP teaching mode is helpful to improve students' English language knowledge and professional knowledge compared with the traditional college English.
