Shaping "Cultural Memory" : the Cultural Mission of Contemporary Basic Education

摘要 文化记忆是指文化共同体共享的记忆。文化记忆借助其凝聚力维系着社会、群体和个人的身份认同。教育作为"文化记忆之场",特别是在教育系统中有着奠基地位的、面向所有学龄儿童和青少年的教育,对于塑造人们的"文化记忆"更是发挥着重要作用。然而从现实情形看,在现代性的条件下,作为"文化记忆之场"的教育却面临着重"当下"轻"历史"、重"理性"轻"情感"等挑战。克服教育中的"记忆"危机,塑造我们共享的"文化记忆",需要在课堂上强化传统文化内容、在校园里开展集体仪式、在学校外组织研学旅行等。 Cuhural memory refers to the memory shared by a cultural community. It sustains society, group and individual identities through cohesion. As the "field of cultural memory", basic education plays an important role in shaping our "cultural memory". However, from the perspective of actual situations, restricted by modern conditions, basic education, as "the field of cultural memory", is faced with the challenge of thinking seriously of "the present" while making light of "history", and attaching importance to "rationality" while thinking little of "emotion". In order to overcome the "memory" crisis in our basic education and shape our "cultural memory", it is necessary to strengthen traditional culture in classrooms, carry out collective ceremonies at campuses and develop tours of inquiry learning outside of schools, etc.
