This paper expounds the development background of book information management system of publishing house and introduces in detail the system development environment, system function structure design, database design and the implementation of system functions. The system development and design is based on the Browser/Server（B/S） application mode and the system realizes such functions as user logiu validation, classification browsing and query of book information, online ordering of book, online message and background database management, which provides a real-time, high-efficiency, convenient and reliable network platform for the book information management and customer service of publishing house.
