ShuoFu, a classic Chinese series written in the Ming dynasty, is collected in the Sikuquanshu (the Imperial Collection of Four Branches of Literature ), though its version remains controversial. It is found out through research that ShuoFu recorded in the Sikuquanshu is neither Ming's edition of Wanweishantang, nor the original Shunzhi's common version, but rather the revised version based on scattered plate parts of Shunzhi's common version. While 30 volumes were dismissed from Shunzhi's version due to some political reasons, over 40 volumes were added into the Sikuquanshu, resulting in different books with the same name, or the same book regathered. Besides, a small number of volumes were not taken in because the damaged plates made the titles unrecognizable. It also should be fair with the version taken by the Sikuquanshu in that after the Ming's editions, more than 70 kinds of books had not been seen in the Shunzhi's version. Therefore, it is not the Sikuquanshu but rather the Shunzhi's version published in the 3rd or 4th year of the reign that is responsible for the gradual loss of its original look of ShuoFu ever since the Qing dynasty.
