The ＂yue A yue B＂ structure in Chinese which has comparative and correlative meanings conforms to the typical definition of construction.This construction and several other varieties constitute a relationship between a core structure and a successional structure.In a cross-linguistic perspective,the structure of ＂yue A yue B＂ shows the following typological features, firstly, it uses explicit markers; secondly, it has the same markers in the two parts; thirdly, it expresses a mono-semantic meaning; fourthly,it lexicalizes the comparative meaning into one marker ; fifthly , it constitutes a mismatching relationship with a juxtaposition in form and a subordinate in content.
