浅谈目的论指导下的西方文论汉译——以《当代批评理论》为例

A Brief Study on the Chinese Translation of Western Literary Theory Guided by Skopos theory: Taking the Translation of Lois Tyson's "Critical Theory Today" as an Example

西方文学理论大批引入中国,促进了中国文学理论的丰富与繁荣,而作为中西文论交流的媒介,西方文论的译本扮演着重要角色。但目前看来,中国国内对西方文论汉译的标准和翻译中的问题的研究还较为欠缺。翻译目的论要求翻译者在翻译目的的指导下,选择合适的翻译方法,所以在整个翻译过程中,应优先考虑文本功能和文本接受者,因此,西方文论的译者应积极探究文论的翻译策略,才能让西方文论更容易被理解和接受。

The introduction of Western literary theories into China has greatly enriched China＇s existing literary theories, thus contributing to their flourish. The translation works of the Western literary theories, which have been acting as the media of such communication, play a vital role in the process. It seems, however, that studies on the translation standards and problems the translator may encounter in the translation of Western literary theories are very limited in China. Skopos theory requires that translators should choose translation strategies according to the purpose of the translation process, in which priority should be given to the function of the source text and the target readers, thus the translators should explore the translation strategies of literary theories to make them be easily understood and accepted.
