In this paper, to shape of traditional culture in contemporary sculpture in the use of the content is mainly discussed to, through the study on the modeling of traditional ethnic culture. Analysis in different times under the background of how to interpret and use of the national traditional culture. And combining with the research on the practical application of modem sculpture and explore in the contemporary context, sculpture art creation should be how to grasp the spiritual value of national culture in traditional modeling, and looking fit the manifestation of the spirit of the age. The national cultural tradition modelling is able to get the inheritance and development in the modem sculpture art creation.
