Humble Opinion on the Incorporation of Slang Into Nursing English Teaching

英语俚语已成为英语国家各行各业日常交际必不可少的部分。护理英语教师不仅要传授标准英语,还应该注重培养学生的俚语使用意识和能力,以使学生更好地理解英语文化,提高英语学习的兴趣和动力,真正实现学以致用的外语教学目的。

English slang is now integral to the daily communication in all walks of life of English-speaking countries. Besides Standard English, Nursing English teachers also should focus on the cultivation of students＇ slang use consciousness and ability so as to render students a better understanding of English culture, promote their learning interest and motivation, and achieve the ultimate aim of ＂learn to meet practical needs＂in foreign language teaching.
