《美亚》事件是指以杰菲为首的《美亚》编辑与以谢伟思等人为首的政府官员被牵涉到非法传递政府机密文件的事件。《美亚》事件被认为是二战之后美国历史上一系列间谍案的开端,同时也被认为是麦卡锡主义的前奏。

Amerasia case refers to the case that the editors of Amerasia who were lead by Jaffe and the goverment officials who were led by Service were involved in the illegal transfer of confidential goverment documents. Amerasia case is considered the beginning of a series of espionage cases in American history since World War Ⅱ. In the meanwhile,it is also regarded as the prelude to McCarthyism.
