《东蒙民歌选》的搜集与推广,反映了新中国初期我国民间文艺搜集工作能够延续延安文艺注重搜集和学习民间文艺的传统,抢救了一批宝贵的民族民间文艺遗产;在新文艺方针、政策的指导下,推广了一批优秀的民族文化资源,有利于促进民族交流和民族团结;在少数民族民间文艺的推广方面积累了蒙汉合作的历史经验,有利于新文艺的建设。

The collection and popularization work of East Mongolian Folk Songs reflected that in the early days of PRC, our literary collec- tion work on the one hand had inherited the Yan＇ an literature tradition in fbcusing on collecting and learning from folk literature, which had saved some precious national folk literature legacy; on the other hand were guided by new literary policy, which had popularized a number of national cultural resources of high quality. These efforts had helped to promote communication and unity among all ethnic peo- ple, and accumulate historical experience in popularizing folk literature of minority nationalities, and were a contribution to build our new literature and art.
