According to talent cultivation objectives and curriculum reform requirements of application-oriented universities, it analyzes the characteristics of ＂structural mechanics＂, points out the problems in the course of traditional ＂structural mechanics＂ teaching and puts forward the improvement measures such as rational design, arranging the contents, reinforcing the combination of theory and practice, strengthening the interest of mechan- ics teaching, fostering the ＂structural mechanics＂ teachers, provides reference to the teaching reforms of ＂structural mechanics＂.
