The United States, Russia, Germany and Singapore which have advanced ideas and mature practice in reading promotion activities are fast developed countries in the domain of library. Through analyzing and researching the present situations of the four countries, we can summarize the experiences from these aspects： service concept, legal support, theoretical research and so on. These researches can provide inspiration and reference for our country＇ s reading promotion activities.
