Feng Youlan's Moral Ideology in the Period of Neo-Confucianism

冯友兰新理学时期的道德思想是其早期伦理观念的发展,又是其50年代抽象继承思想的基础,是中国现代道德哲学中有代表性的一家。冯友兰新理学时期道德思想总的特点是:既主要强调传统道德概念的普遍性意涵,也顾及了社会转型时代旧道德向新道德的转化。其中涉及到道德的继承、变化问题,至今还是道德重建的根本课题。

Feng Youlan＇s moral thoughts in his period of Neo-Confucianism, which developed from his early ethic ideas, served as the basis of his abstract inheritance method in the 1950s, and was a distinguished one in modern China＇s moral philosophy. The general characteristics of Feng＇s moral ideology can be summarized as stressing on the universality of the traditional moral concepts while taking into consideration of the ethics transfer from the old to the new in the social transitional period. The moral inheritance and question of change involved in Feng＇s thoughts remain fundamental subjects of today＇s moral reconstruction.
