Poetic Inhabitants——Brief on the Historical and Cultural Value of Huayao's Folk Song

花瑶是聚居在湖南省隆回县境内一个不足七千人的古老族群,是瑶族中一个独特的分支,由于封闭的生活环境,古老的民俗文化得以保存至今。花瑶讪歌就是其中最有价值的遗产,2006年花瑶"呜哇山歌"被录入湖南省首批非物质文化遗产。文章从花瑶讪歌所散发的思想、艺术魅力中初步探索了花瑶讪歌的史学、文化价值,以期引起研究者的注意。

Huayao,a special branch of Yao Minority(one of the fifty-five minorities in China),inhabit in high mountains in Longhui county of Hunan province with a total population of less than 7000 people.Because of the isolation from the outside world,its ancient folk-custom and culture have remained,among which the folk song is the most valuable cultural heritage.In 2006,its 'WUWA folk song' was taken as one of the first intangible cultural heritages in Hunan province.This paper studied the historical and cultural value of this kind of folk song based on its charm of ideology and art,in the hope of catching more researchers' attention.
