The existential sentence is a common construction in both English and Chinese.However,it is also a special one with unique sentence structure and semantic features.In the hope of finding out the similarities and differences between Chinese and English existential sentences,this paper made a contrastive analysis of the two structures from the perspectives of definition,classification,and features.
