摘要
人们在语言交际中不仅涉及语言系统,还涉及了其赖以生存的文化系统,习语是语言发展的结晶,渗透着浓郁的西方文化气息。如何运用翻译的忠实、通顺的原则,结合各习语的文化背景,从习语的原始意思,从习语的言外之意(connotation),再从本土语言中找到相对应的翻译,从而更好地接受和传承这一文化遗产。
Cultural linguists believe that language communication does not only relate to the language system,but also involve the cultural system.Idioms are the products of language development,permeating a strong flavor of western culture.The paper puts forward the way to translate idioms properly so that we can accept and inherit this cultural heritage.
