The Application and Restruction of 5-element Colors in Contemporary Oil Paintings

中国传统色彩具有完全不同于西方传统色彩的民族特征,尤其是五行色的运用,受到中国古代哲学思想和环境的影响,有着强烈的象征意义和深沉的文化底蕴,在当代中国油画中很多画家有意识地将五行色用当代语言来诠释所见所思所想,使得民族性语言的当代性探索有了更多的可能性。

Chinese traditional colors, different from those of the West, are of unique national feature. Influenced by ancient Chinese philosophy and environment, the application of five-element colors, in particular, has strong symbols and deep cultural implications. In contemporary Chinese oil paintings, many painters apply five-element colors to interpret what they see and think, cultivating more possibilities in contemporary exploration of Chinese traditional colors.
