田素琴教授认为血热风盛型银屑病为血热内蕴、气机不畅,分为血热内蕴和血虚风燥型。宜整体观辨病与辨证相结合,根据皮损表现、初始发病、既往用药、饮食睡眠及二便等伴有症状、舌脉,综合分析,制订个体化治疗方案,动态调整,既有心理疏导,又有饮食生活指导。血热内蕴为久食辛辣膏粱厚味之品,内生湿热,宜清热凉血、解毒消斑,犀角地黄汤加减;血虚风燥:血虚风燥为血热日久风盛,阴虚内热,宜滋阴养血,熄风润燥,当归饮子加减。进展期口服中药煎剂为主,外用为辅;急性期血热风盛,或湿热蕴结,或红皮病型银屑病初期火毒炽盛证,根据皮损状况,选取中药药浴(药浴方可随证调整)、中药软膏、中药封包、中药涂搽等外用药,可有效缩短治疗时间。田师强调外用药应无刺激性、无毒性、无激素、易耐受。稳定期及退行期以外用治疗为主,预防复发;还可配合日光浴、针灸及刺络拔罐等。治愈后指导患者防外感,生活规律,适当锻炼,提高免疫功能,不暴饮暴食,情志平缓,不过激,季节交替时更加注意定期防护,定期随诊等。
