Tranquil and quiet environment, soft and gentle music, and orderlyarranged books...Walking on the streets and alleys in Qingdao, there are always idiosyncratic bookstores that attract you.The bookstore we introduce today is unique. It is simple but not ordinary, unsophisticated but fashionable.Located on No.12,Huangxian Road,it is called Desert Island,a bookstore that illustrates the theme of '1930s Qingdao culture'.A yellowish gray exterior wall, reddish brown doors and windows, and a simple solid wood signboard, have all sent a temperament of low-key yet literary and artistic.Walking into the bookstore, solid wood furniture dating back to 1930 s jumps into your eyes;portraits of famous writers, like Lao She and Xiao Hong, are exhibited on the bookshelves.Field of Life and Death and Village in August with over 80 years' history have are shown in the prominent position as the signature of the bookstore.
