Research on the Conformity of Syntax and Semantics Based on the Chinese Room Argument

句法与语义的关系在语言学研究与对于人工智能的哲学思考等方面占有重要地位。从著名的中文屋实验入手,通过探讨语言系统在完备化条件下句法与语义的关系,证明反映句法与语义一致性的定理;反驳"句法不足以确定语义"的观点,并由此反驳由中文屋实验推出的"强人工智能不存在"的结论;最后对定理的应用进行探讨。

The relationship of syntax and semantics is of vital importance in study of linguistics and the philosophical thinking about the artificial intelligence. This article is an attempt, based on the Chinese room argument, to prove the conformity of syntax and semantics by a discussion of the relationship of these two when the linguistic system is in its theoretical perfection. The objective of this attempt is to refute the viewpoint that syntax is not sufficient to determine the semantics and the conclusion of the inexistence of a ＂strong AI＂ set forward by the Chinese room argument. The application of this theorem will be given in the end.
