Academic Association Between Lu Xun and Xu Shiying

许寿裳之子许世瑛在1930年进入清华大学中文系就读,鲁迅为他开列过一份推荐书目,就其具体内容而言,未必适合所有年轻读者的需求,因而不宜过分夸大其普适性。只有着重考察许世瑛的接受状况,才能对这份书目的特殊作用和实际意义有恰如其分的估量。参酌这份书单的内容,细致梳理许世瑛的学术历程,不难发现他在日后研究中所呈现的文学兴趣、史家视野和目录学根柢,甚至一些具体研究成果,都与鲁迅有着极为密切的渊源承传关系。

Xu Shiying,the son of Xu shouchang,went to Tsinghua University to study in 1930,then Lu Xun gived him a list of books.The content of this list is not suitable for all the young readers,so we should not exaggerate it’s universality.Though we can estimate this list’s special effects and practical significance by examining the acceptance of Xu Shiying.According to the content of this list of books,we can find the academic association between Lu Xun and Xu Shiying especially in the literary taste,historical perspective and basis of bibliography.
