"寻根"作为流散文学中反复出现的主题,一直是人类所共有的文化情结,也是流散作家津津乐道的话题。美籍阿富汗裔作家卡勒德·胡塞尼的作品也呈现出流散文学的普遍特质:即有对文化身份认同的焦虑,也有对民族之根的探寻。然而"胡塞尼热"在于他没有用敌对和刻薄的态度去对待冲突,而是以客观而现实的态度把阿富汗不为人知的一面展现在世人的面前,运用温情的笔墨引起读者共鸣,为阿富汗和美国的对峙搭建了一条沟通的桥梁,这便是胡塞尼的独特与可贵之处。本文将通过解析胡塞尼"寻根"意识的嬗变来阐释他的小说跨越种族和文化的藩篱而具有普适的意义,这对于全球化时代中异质文化的共融具有借鉴意义。

： ＂Root-seeking＂ is not only a cultural complex shared by all mankind, but also a hot issue which is a popular theme of diasporic writing for the diasporic writers. Khaled Hosseini who is an Afghanistan-American writer has typical characteristics of Diaspora Literature which focus on the anxiety of cultural identity and the exploration of ＂root-see- king＂. He didn＇t use the hyper-critical and hostility attitude towards cultural conflicts, but he adopted the objective and realistic attitude to present the mysterious Afghanistan to the world. Using the appealing writing to arouse readers＇ inner emotions and build a communication bridge between Afghanistan and the United States which are the Khaled Hosseini＇s unique and specialty. This paper tries to find the reason why Hosseini is gained ground and why his works have the universal significance, and it is meaningful to interpret Hosseini unique root-seeking complex, this study is a reference to the harmonious communication of different culture.
