摘要
新兴电商模式和O2O商业模式的实践显示,并非所有的商业模式创新都能实现企业绩效的提升。而理论研究普遍认为,商业模式的创新能带来良好的企业绩效,单纯考虑两者的直接关系已经不足以解释企业实践中商业模式创新的效果差异。因此,本研究立足资源基础观,考察企业资源、商业模式创新的时机和强度对企业绩效的影响作用,期望对企业实践中商业模式创新的不同效果做出解释。研究发现,商业模式的先动式创新和创新强度对企业资源和绩效的影响关系存在部分中介作用,企业资源水平的差异和在先动式创新以及创新程度上的差异都会造成商业模式创新过程中的绩效差异。因此,企业在权衡商业模式创新的时机和强度时,要充分考虑自身的资源储备和对资源的配置能力;拥有资源优势的企业可以采取先发制人的策略,而资源水平较差的企业,不宜盲目开展先动式创新。
While theoretical studies generally hold the view that business model innovation can improve the firm performance, the practice of emerging B2C and 020 business indicates that not all the busi- ness model innovation can achieve so. The linear relationship between business model innovation and the firm performance cannot explain the different outcomes of business model innovation. Therefore, on the basis of the Resource-Based View, this paper studies the influence of firm resources, timing and intensity of the business model innovation on the performance, with an aim to explain the differ- ent outcomes of business model innovation in practice. It is found that the first mover innovation and innovation intensity play a partial intermediary role between firm resources and the performance. Differences in resource levels, first mover innovation, and innovation intensity lead to firms" different performances in the process of business model innovation. Therefore, this study provides the following suggestions. First, when thinking about the timing and intensity of business model innova- tion, a company should give full consideration to its resource reserves and resource configuration abili- ty; second, companies with resources advantage can adopt the pre-emptive strategy, while those with unfavorable resources should be more prudent.
