摘要
以某军校非英语专业大学一年级学员为研究对象,以实践共同体理论为基础,探讨了如何结合该校校本网络教学平台(SPOC平台)改进高校大学英语课堂教学,从而促进课堂教学和课外交流,并拓展课内外学习的深层内涵。结果显示:该教学模式设计合理,从实践共同体的三个核心要素来看,激发了学员的学习兴趣,拓展了学习内容,提高了学员的学习成绩,促进了其思辨能力的发展。
Under the theoretical framework of the Communities of Practice (COP), this paper explores the ways of integrating SPOC (Small and Private Online Courses) into College English Course for the 1st year non English majors in a military academy, aiming to promote interaction in and off classroom settings, as well as deepen students' understanding of the learning materials. The results indicate that the teaching mode employed in this study is well designed, which, according to the three key elements of communities of practice, can motivate students, extend the learning material, improve their aca- demic performance and develop their critical thinking.
