On Yi Ethnic Water Culture and Its Connotation

彝族水文化是彝族在千百年来世代适应自然的过程中,不断创造和传承的以水为载体的各种社会文化现象总和,是彝族传统文化中以水为核心的社会文化综合体。彝族水文化有"逐水而徙"、"缘水而生"、"崇水而敬"、"取水而净"、"治水用水"与"因水而治"等主要内涵。彝族水文化极富现代生态价值,在水环境恶化、水问题频出的今天,应加强多学科协作,全面挖掘、整理和传承彝族水文化精髓,以早日建成边疆民族地区生态和谐社会。

Yi water culture is a social and cultural complex with water as its core in Yi traditional cul-ture. It is the sum of all kinds of social and cultural phenomena created and inherited by water during the natu-ral adaption of Yi generation to generation for thousands of years. The connotation of Yi ethnic water culture isfull of migration with water, creation in water, worship water, cleaning by water, water treatment and control bywater. Yi water culture is rich in modern ecological value. In the face of today＇s water problems such as worsewater environment, concerning disciplines should cooperate to collect and inherit Yi water cultural essence tobuild ecological harmonious Yi homeland early.
