汉语格律诗音韵美不可译性研究

Study on the Untranslatability of Beauty of Sound in Chinese Metrical Poetry

理解是翻译的前提。翻译汉语格律诗必须首先懂得如何欣赏格律诗。本文从汉字的四声及平仄入手,分析了中国格律诗的基本句式和格式,以及格律诗如何通过"对"、"粘"、"拗救"等艺术手段在严格遵循固定格律的前提下实现了声韵的和谐,从而构成汉语格律诗特有的音韵美。由于格律诗的音韵美是根据汉字的语音特征而设计的,鉴于中西方语言的巨大差距,无论译者采用何种翻译策略,格律诗的音韵美都是无法借助另一种语言完美地得到传译的。

Understanding should be the precondition of any translation activities. When translating Chinese metrical poetry, a translator should first know how to appreciate the beauty of a Chinese metrical poem. Starting from the four tones as well as the level and oblique tones of Chinese characters, this paper analyses the basic sentence patterns and fixed formats of Chinese metrical poetry, hence revealing how Chinese metrical poems achieve the beauty of sound by such artistic methods as ＂dui＂, ＂nian＂, and ＂aojiu＂. No matter what translation strategies are used, because the beauty of sound in Chinese metrical poetry is uniquely designed on the basis of the level and oblique tones of Chinese characters and great gaps do exist between Chinese and western languages, the beauty of sound in Chinese metrical poetry can never be kept intact after translating in any other languages.
